畅游科学“童话镇”，享受创意无极——记镇江枫叶国际公司英语艺术节之初中英语科学展活动

2019年5月29日，镇江枫叶国际公司初中部英语科学展如期举行，来自镇江枫叶国际公司八、九年级的同学们，共43组、171名学生积极参与了本次科学展。
与往年不同的是，本次科学展的主题是“童话故事”，这个主题给了同学们发挥无限创意的空间。如何能将童话故事中的科学联系到现实生活中？同学们大胆尝试，勇于创新，在科学展的现场向我们进行了展示。现场科学展内容丰富：有的小组研究机器人，有的小组尝试着复制《美女与野兽》里的玫瑰，有的学生阐释液压系统如何运行，还有的小组创意地将化学反应与咒语结合在一起。参展的学生们从选择主题，到准备材料，再到反复试验，最终得出科学研究结论。每位同学都亲身实践、动手研究。展位上的同学们自信大方地用全英文向来访的评委们与参观者们展示作品，分析自己的研究成果。他们侃侃而谈，现场的评委们不由地感叹学生们惊人的批判性思维能力。
经过两个小时的展示与比拼，本次英语科学展圆满落幕。英语科学展活动不仅锻炼了同学们的科学创新思维，更提高了他们英语交流的能力。我们见证了一些伟大的“科学家们”，让我们一起期待明年的科学展！
On the 29th of May, MLIS - ZJ , Middle School presented their annual science fair. Future scientists were given a topic to correlate with the theme of the English Arts Festival - Fairy Tales.
A total of 171 students attempted to show how the science in Fairy Tales and other stories can work in the real world. The theme gave the students the opportunity to be truly creative. That lead to a vast variety of project themes ranging from a team who investigated robots to some students trying to replicate the Rose from Beauty and the Beast. Some students illustrated how hydraulic systems work in comic books. Other students even attempted Magic spells, using basic Chemical reactions. Students presented tremendous accurate applications of the scientific process in order to conduct experiments. Students constructed well thought out investigations, so they could critically analyse their findings. Students stunned their teachers with their critical thinking abilities in order to create a presentation. Students crafted well designed speeches that could convey their projects, this improved their English language abilities in a new and thought provoking manner.
At the end of the day, it was made clear that we may have witness some Great Scientists showing their first project. Leaving us even more excited for the next Science Fair.
