Every Wednesday is the busiest and most exciting day for teachers and students at Maple Leaf. This day, only one language can be heard, English, swinging in the air. Wednesdays are English-speaking day. Students wear clothes they like, enjoying the happiness of speaking English, getting signatures or stamps from teachers. They can exchange the signatures for wristbands, winning them the honor of “Star of English".

Look, when the bell rings, all the students rush in the offices, talking with teachers in English. Some talk fluently with local teachers or foreign teachers. Some read the pieces they have prepared for the teachers with good pronunciation and intonation. Some sing English songs they are good at. Some even form a group, singing and dancing like stars.

The activities of English Day have been going on for weeks, but all the students are still excited about it. They all look forward to this day. This day provides an opportunity for all students to communicate in English. It also encourages students to speak English as much as possible and cultivates their interest in learning English.

          每周三是镇江枫叶国际公司初小部孩子们和老师们最忙碌也是最热闹的日子。在这一天，耳边传来的声音里几乎只有一种语言，那就是英语。因为每周三是英语日，在这一天孩子们可以穿着自己喜欢的衣服，尽情地享受着说英语带来的快乐，同时获得老师的签名、盖章，来换取腕带，最后获得“英语之星”这项荣誉。

          瞧，下课铃刚响，孩子们就跑到各个办公室跟老师们进行英文交流。有的是用流利的英文与中教或外教进行交流，有的是把自己学过的课文用优美的语音语调读给老师听，也有的是秀自己拿手的英文歌，甚至还有些孩子们组成了组合边唱边跳，十足明星范......

          英语日活动已经开展了很多周了，但孩子们对这项活动的热情依旧高涨，丝毫没有减退。每个星期都盼望着这一天的早点到来。这个活动它给孩子们又多提供了一个英语交流的平台，鼓励孩子们尽可能的多说英语并激发和培养孩子们学习英语的兴趣。
